Gourd Doll: My Heart Is In The Garden

This doll is made out of a garden gourd. She has been completely hand painted with acrylic paints. She wears a little wooden heart on her dress, and her hat is hand made out of felt tipped in glitter! She sits on a small grapevine wreath which has been embellished with flowers, a bird, a feather and greens! She was a joy to create and makes me smile when I see her. She is off to California to be judged for a National Magazine...

This Diva is now on my desk along with a partically completed DREAMBOARD...
BELIEVE! Is the theme of both of these.
The diva is a doll dress form that has been altered with paper collaged on the bodice...the skirt is also made out of handmade paper...she wears her heart to remind me to stay TRUE and she has her wings so I remember to FLY. The word Believe is attached with ribbons.
