Or...SKATE! Once again it is time for the "Get A Grip" show ...where artists/people of all ages...are given skate board grip tape and asked to make art out of it...They then go on sale or auction to raise money for a local skate board park. Both of my adult children were really big skate board fans...especially my son...So a lot of time (and money!) was spent both at skate board shops...for skate boards...skate board related clothing...shoes...trucks...wheels...stickers...It was a way of life for him in the 90's!! And now my little grandson (7 years old) is totally into skate boarding too....So a nice skate board park would be great for him...
I came up with the idea of a robot and went about cutting out a templet and covering it with the tape and then the local Lowe's isles gave me all sorts of wonderful things to make him come to life...copper wire...reflectors
pullies for wheels...reflecting tape...concave mirror...The best part is that there is a string of rope lights that back lights this piece and of course the reflectors glow in the dark! I had a lot of fun making SK-8....hope he brings in some good money!!
Artfully Yours...
