This is a painting that is now on its way to Tennessee for an auction to benefit A PLACE TO BARK...This is a wonderful woman, named Bernie Berlin, who recues animals with abandon!
You can visit her web site and see the animals that she has UP for adoption at:
http://aplacetobark.com ... Or the auction, which by the way has some pretty well known artists
who have donated pieces at: http://search.ebay.com/_W0QQsassZaplace2bark
It is an amazing thing when what you do can touch and help someone who is doing something so wonderful! I am honored to be part of this....BID OFTEN! BID HIGH!!!

Gypsy Doll
This is a paper doll that I made awhile ago, but thought I would share her here! I did her for a magazine, but alas, fear over took me and I did not send her in! So she sits in my studio with her glitter dust, her affirmation cards and reminds me that fear will not get me anywhere, but BELIEVING will!! So perhaps that is what she was all about... Anyhow, she is made out of 4 ply card stock, and is jointed at the arms...Her bodice is torn paper and her dress and hat are cloth. She is painted with acrylic paint, and is adorn with beads, and a small bag of glitter with a wish stone inside, a twisted heart, earrings, and affirmation cards....She holds a small jeweled charm in her hand..Striped legs and red glittery shoes! I still love her!! Hope you enjoy her as much as I do!!

Museum Of Play Sneakers
Have you heard of the Museum of Play? Well, it is located here in Rochester and is part of the Strong Museum...Everyone who works there needs to wear white sneakers. A friend of mine, asked that I take the logo and do her sneakers with the whimsy of it. So here they are!! They are so much fun!! Painting on canvas sneakers can be a bit challenging, but once I got the hang of it, they pulled together. Now wouldn't these sneakers just make your feet happy?!?!

The Elegance of Time
This is a piece that I have completed for an auction for our local Gilda's Club. It started out as a box with a glass insert. I took that out and replaced it with a piece of wood so that I could do the clock face on it...You can open the door and that is where the battery box is...but you could put a trinket inside as there is enough room. This is the 5th year that I am doing this auction, although I did not chair it this year. If you are not familiar with Gilda's Club house it is a safe haven for people who are living with cancer, cancer survivors, and their families. Here they can take art classes, have guest speakers, movie night, sleep overs, a camp for kids and lots of FUN and loving things to do along with support. It is a wonderful and happy place that Gilda Radner wanted to start while she was going thru her cancer treatments. Check it out! They are always looking for people to lend a hand in one form or another...even if it is just to stuff and envelope!!

Valentine Swap...
This is an altered valentine done on canvas that I did for a swap...It went to Carol in Virginia....I had a lot of fun with this, as it is something that I do not usually do...I drew and then painted the bird on a piece of card stock and then cut it out to use as my altered piece...found the valentine stuff and well here it is!

Collin's Chair...
This is the rocking chair that I completed for my grandson for his 2nd birthday!! He is totally crazy for cars and trucks and things so I had no choice but to put them on this chair....He is still a little small for it, but I believe that it will be with him forever and a piece that will be passed down in his life time! It was a happy creative time for me and made with a great deal of love!
Artfully Yours,
Pattie
